Alpaca Wool

Alpaca wool offers excellent insulation and thermal qualities. Alpacas live at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters, where their wool protects them against cold, wind, rain, and heat. This makes alpaca wool ideal for producing both summer and especially winter garments. It is as comfortable as cashmere and feels exceptionally soft and smooth on the skin. At the same fineness, alpaca wool is even softer than merino wool. Unlike other wool types, it shows no “pilling effect.” Often called the “fleece of the gods,” alpaca wool is regarded as one of the highest-quality natural fibers.
